I am with you all the way, Wallace is behind on misses, so Spencer passes and Maston has to make 17'5 to win and does. Then when Spencer misses at 17'8 Wallace almost breaks a twenty year old record. There may be some HS kids that people think look better but they wouldn't beat those two that day.

Wallace(very talented) reminds me of Steve Smith, he must have read the great book The Elusive Bar.

Maston is a great kid. I coached him in Middle school. He was a very rounded athlete. He played all sports and was and still is a very good hurdler , which takes rhythm, which is needed in the pole vault. I just wish he would do more hurdling.I vaulted in College and my roommate was a nationally ranked hurdler. I would work out with him to improve my strength, power and flexibility. Maston, I'll see you at the regionals!! Grip high and go for the GOLD!! :) :)
