At the "Kickoff Classic" at Arkansas State today, polevaultpower's own Becca "RainbowGirl28" Gillespy jumped a season-opening 10'6, her best jump all fall from a 5 stride/10 step.

That's Erica Hall in the picture. She jumped really well considering she has been hurt all fall and only jumped twice before this meet. She cleared 10-6 from 8 steps
I cleared 10-6 from 10 steps, and I'm pretty happy with that.
It's a season best and it would be a provisional qualifier for my national meet... if I was eligible (I'm only a part-time student right now). Oh well, I'll just jump 11-0 in January and get the auto.
My teammates all did pretty well. They've only vaulted about 5 times before the meet and were on 6-10 steps. John got a provisional qualifier with his 15-0 jump.
