Vaultref was running the event so quickly, I could barely update PV Power before the next person was running down the runway! Check out the time stamps for these posts.
Thank you to all the volunteers and officials who spent a long hot several days down there. The meet would not have been possible without you!
All the credit goes has to go to my two young bar raising assistants David, Melissa. and when the men were jumping, Jimmy. Both Melissa and Jimmy are vaulters for Cal State at Sacramento.
All three knew exactly what to do. I was just the ("musical") conductor so to speak to assure all four team members working together. They did all the work. I'm sure the vaulters appreciated having the pit ready to go in quick fashion.
The pit team could have reduced the total event time even more if it wasn't for a sticky wheel on the right standard and having to hold for the start of the two 200 meter finals.
I hope with all the camera action that was going on they will show more than a few vaults this coming Saturday. There were an awful lot of awsome vaults in the finals.
Hot it was.. I was drenched by the end of the day. I'm still recovering from the time lag now that I'm back. I'm disappointed that the meets are about over for the year (for me). One left in LA next week.
Oh yeah, look for the mail by weeks end. Maybe your coach will let you come out to Penn next year.
