What would you do?

Unread postby VaultMarq26 » Sun Oct 16, 2005 12:11 pm

So next week Billy Mills is speaking at my college. If you don't know, Billy Mills is a former Gold Medalist distance runner. It isn't often that an athlete such as Billy speaks on campus. I have vaulting at the same time.

So what would you do. See him speak, or have vaulting practice. My coach is giving me the option.

give a man a fish, he can eat for a day. teach him to fish...

i got the chance to listen to arthur lydiard (sp?) the most prolific distance coach of all time. he had some amazing things to say about training and how to take care of yourself when you're not training. it was well worth the time it took out of my schedule.

he died 2 days later in houston. you may never get the chance again. you can always vault tomorrow.

Go see Billy Mills for sure! One missed practice won't kill you, this is a great opportunity that doesn't come along every day.
