I usually throw my pole away from me when i'm frustrated from a bad vault (usually when i'm still in the air, but sometimes in run through). My coach often reminds me I'm not practicing javelin...but maybe I have a future in it.....

I kick people out of practice if they throw a pole out of frustration. It doesn't happen very often. It is cruel to the pole and it is not just one person using it, usually.

We don't do run throughs either. I hate running through more than anything else. We do towel plants before any approach to take off.

:o I think i'd get kicked out of practice...but don't get me wrong...i love my pole...

we don't really do run throughs either...hence the frustration.

and all we learn from this is only bad things can happen when you dont have your hands above your head when u plant (regardless of weather you are going to jump or not)...
