Athletes' Academic Performance

Unread postby jmayesvaultmom » Mon Jun 14, 2004 7:32 am

I saw this and thought it was pretty impressive...especially about the track team girls!

"74% of the Lady Razorbacks posted Spring 2004 semester grades at or above 3.00. The almost 3/4 performance on the Women's Athletics Department's Academic Excellence Honor Roll marks an all-time high in the 15-year history of the program. The 147 Lady'Backs enrolled for Spring 2004 had a combined GPA of 3.24 -- another record high. Only one of Arkansas teams had a GPA under 3.00 as the NCAA Regional participant Gym'Backs led the way with a perfect 10 -- 10 of 10 team members on the honor roll. [size=18]The SEC Outdoor Champion track team also scored a 10 -- 10 of the 26 Lady'Backs with perfect 4.00 grades for the semester." :D
That's Jodie!!

A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.
