Chmielewski earns Field Performer of the Week

The America East conference announced, Dec. 6, that junior pole vaulter Laura Chmielewski earned America East Field Performer of the Week after winning the pole vault at the Husky Carnival on Saturday.
Chmielewski's clearance of 12'6 has already exceeded the ECAC qualifing standards of 11'9.75. Last indoor season, she set the NU record and New England Championship record of 12'9.5 to win the New England title and placed 10th at the ECAC Championship. Outdoors, she took second in the vault (12'11.5) at the ECAC Championship and set NU and meet records when she won the pole vault at the New England Championship with a height of 13'3.75.
The Huskies travel to Harvard to take on the Crimson in a dual meet Jan. 8 at 12 p.m.
