Unread postby i_heart_pv » Sat Feb 26, 2005 12:53 am

I'm a junior and i've started looking at colleges. I think i really like Northeastern and uconn. Does anyone know how well girls coaches are and what the height is to walk on? I've e-mailed the coaches but no response yet..so someone please help!

They can't contact you until like July 1st (i think) after your JR year, so don't expect an email back until then.

the Northeastern PV coach is Brenner Abbott. ive gotten to know him over the past few years and he is a good coach and a cool guy. right now he has Laura Chmielewski over 13'4"(shed go higher if she would ever turn). im not sure about what height youd need to walk on though.

good luck with your college search

But remeber just because they can't respond dosn't mean u can't make urself known. The more u send them stuff the more they will likely conntace u after July 1st. I found being somewhat annoying (but not alot) helps with college coaches because they are so busy.

I've heard they have a different coach for the girls. I know when I was looking at their girls' marks a year or two ago, I was not impressed.

Ditto. In fact, Northeastern's #2 all time female vaulter was a UConn transfer. I definitely give props to the NE coach. We shall have a showdown in Boston this weekend...
