Pre-season Vaulting (summer and fall vaulting)

I have been seeing a lot of colleges vaulting, seemingly, year round. I am wondering what exactly are the NCAA rules about vaulting prior to the season officially starting? Is there a specific "no vault" time period? A period where they cannot vault with their school coach? Or is it just a specific number of days you are allowed to vault?

There are a specific number of days you can have mandatory activities, however there is no real limit on how many days you could vault as long as it is optional.
