Pole Vault U continues to impress, despite the loss of one of its top competitors from last season.
The most consistent group in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference the past two years, Minnesota State Moorhead already has three pole vaulters provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II national indoor meet.

Senior Tiffany Spriggs, freshman Jen Hensel and sophomore Derik Brugger each hit provisional marks after just two meets.

Spriggs finished third and Brugger second at the NSIC outdoor meet last season.

Minnesota State Moorhead freshman pole vaulter Jennifer Hensel set school and arena records Friday during the Bison Open indoor track and field meet at Bison Sports Arena.
Hensel, a two-time Minnesota state champion at Frazee High School, vaulted 12 feet, 7½ inches to set the new marks. The old school record of 12-6 was held by Brooke Wehri (2005) and Aaron Clark. The former Bison Sports Arena record of 12-4 was set by Julie Stenkowski in 2004.
