World Age Best in first indoor competition.
Competing for the first time since an ankle injury curtailed her 2003 season National Veteran Over 35 record holder Larissa Lowe took out the World Record for an Over 40 in her new age group.
At an open meeting held at the UK High Performance centre in Sutton, England, Larissa cleared 3.51m to break the record by 1cm and take second place in the competition behind British number one Tracy Bloomfield.
"After clearing 3.51m I ran out of poles as I jumped on the biggest pole I had with me, not expecting to use it in my first competition! I will bring more poles for next week...", said Larissa after the competition.
