Thanks for the kind words. I sure try to run fast, but it is getting harder and harder. The video has a long story, but basically it was just a practice session. Bud wanted me to try a bar at 10'6" to help me get over the fear factor. That was the first and only time I have tried. The bar is exactly 10'6". It may not appear that high as Bud is filming from a platform.

To all you "real" vaulters: I know there is lots wrong with the vault. I plan to work on that stuff when I get as much out of my "how-did-she-do-that?" style. In the meantime, I am having lots of fun.

Thanks again. I have surprised myself as I never thought I would get better as I got older. Hope this is encouraging to others.

Now, I have to do it at a meet. We all know that that is often times harder to do.

Wow, you're lookin' good. Keep up the practice and that height will become your base line at meets. You must have pretty good coach. Was that him talking on the video? ;)

First of all, you ARE a REAL vaulter, and you have the vid to prove it! I saw it with my own eyes!

And yes, there's room for improvement, but 10-6 in an OFFICIAL meet is all you need ... isn't it?

Even if you slow down a bit in the next couple years, you can more than make up for it in technical improvements. You have a nice high grip ... as high as you really need.

Go for it! In this order ...

1. Stay healthy!
2. Have fun!
3. Get the OFFICIAL WR!

If there's a few more steps in there between #2 and #3, then that's OK too. But time is ticking, so the sooner the better ... go for it!
