Lone Star Pole Vaulting 2005 Summer Camp

Who: Pole vaulters of all ages and abilities
When: July 21-22 (Thursday and Friday)
Where: Texas State University – San Marcos

$250 – Campers (includes motel room for Thursday night & 4 meals)
$200 – Commuters (responsible for overnight accommodations and meals)

Coach Kris Allison has had tremendous success with the vaulters he’s coached. Some of those vaulters include: Britni Lawrence, Jessica Doyle, Ari Ince, Bobby Most and Francisco Leon.

In 2005: • 19 District Champions and 18 Regional Qualifiers • 7 Qualified for UIL State Championship • 4 High School Girls Over 12’0

In the last 3 Years: • 9 State Champions • 13 Medalists at State • 11 Texas Girls High School State Records • 2 National Junior Olympic Champions • 6 National Junior Olympic Medalists • Multiple Peruvian National Records • 2 NCAA National Championship Medalists • 3 NCAA National Championship Qualifiers

In addition to these successes, Kris was also chosen to coach the best high school girl pole vaulters in the US at the United States Olympic Training Center in the summer of 2004. In 2004 he was also hired to coach the pole vaulters at Texas State University in San Marcos. His Lone Star Pole Vault Club annually trains nearly 100 vaulters from all over Texas.

• Vaulters will learn the Lone Star Progressive Method of vaulting, which blends drills and gradually increasing length approach runs.
• Topics to be covered include: Progression, Safety, Adjustments, Drills, Video, Gymnastics, Weights, Plyometrics and Periodized Training.
• All campers receive a free t-shirt and entry into the San Marcos River Vault Competition on Saturday, July 23rd. Camp begins at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Registration will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Bobcat Stadium on the Texas State University Campus. (Take exit #206 West from IH35 to the stadium)
