It was a great performance by a great young athlete. Brit electrified that crowd. Her attempts at 4.10 need to be recorded here as near makes, they were outstanding. Ms. Lawrence is headed for the big time.

I was looking at the photo on www.texastrack.com and was wondering what size pole she was on and how high she was holding. The angle of the photo looked like her her hand grip was very close to the bar. Allowing for 6 or 7 inches in the box she must have a very high grip or it was just the angle from which the picture was taken.

She was on a 13'6 170 Pacer Carbon gripping 12'10. She's about 5'3 140, and was taking off at 11'0-11'3

12'10 minus 8" in the box = 12'2
13'1.5 minus 12'2 = 11'5 inches
