Hollingsworths shift to Meridian

Another top Central Texas pole vaulter is Shelley Hollingsworth, who finished third, just behind Starnes at the state meet in 2004. Hollingsworth was at Whitney then and competed at Hubbard a year ago, taking second in state in the pole vault. She played basketball for her father, Jim Hollingsworth there as the Lady Jags posted a 29-4 record.

Both are now at Meridian. Jim is an assistant with coach Ricky Holmsley. Shelley has led the Lady Jackets in assists and averaged 23.5 point in her first five games there.
