Re: Pre Classic - Live Results
Murer misses her last attempt at 4.68 but finishes in 1st place with her 2nd attempt clearance of 4.58 m. She takes over the lead in the Diamond League pole vault. Rogowska is second at 4.58 m. Janson and Golubchikova tie for third with first attempt clearances at 4.48 m and split the Diamond League points. Kiryashova places fifth with a seasonal best 4.48 m vault on her third attempt. Chelsea Johnson is 6th with her opening height clearance of 4.28 m. Pyrek and Suhr both NH. Bummer for them.

Aww man, I had to run errands and missed it. But the meet is on TV now, on NBC. I predict one shot of Jenn missing a height and one shot of Murer winning.

They showed all three of Jenn's misses, one of Murer's clearances, and one of Rogowska's clearances. They said the wind was really good, I couldn't see the wind sock, but the flags on the side looked like maybe there was some crosswind.

Seems pretty disappointing, to me, that with 2010 bests of--
Suhr 4.92
Murer 4.85
Rogowska 4.83
Golubchidova 4.65
Janson 4.60
--no vaulter cleared 4.60 (15'1 1/4"). The wind didn't seem all that bothersome, a mild tailwind at worst, and the long jump, across the field, seemed to produce good results.

USATF Press Release:
Fabiana MURER (BRA)
Pole Vault Women (Winner)
It was good but I hope I could jump more, because the conditions here were very good. But the wind didn't help a lot. But I'm happy.
First time, and it was really nice. The people are so close and it helped me out a lot. This is important and I enjoy a lot the competition.
Conditions were the same for everybody. I hope I jump higher the next competition.#
On Jenn Suhr: I was expecting to jump with her and compete together.
