hey

multicard... sounds like all you need is right pole ... right grip...

but your speed and posture could be a little off on your run... so you don't get the full benifit..

by the way i stated that tim mack was at 135-8 on his 9 left run... that is/was from his left toe on the start... no skip or jog...

i too feel like that is a long way... and very long strides to a "MID" of 54-8

i was told those marks in 2004 right after the trials... i will check with tim and or bemiller. to make sure...

that would mean he covered 80 feet (first 12 steps) from his start to the "mid" of 54-8

maurice greene covered 69'8" from the blocks to his 12th step in his world record...

more on this later...

Have you ever done any kind of gymnastics training? I don't know anything about your technique and if you are on the right pole and right grip, but you have a pretty weak grip efficiency for where you are at. If there are other technical problems in your run and takeoff, obviously that is more important to fix, but if you are weak in the core, doing lots of swinging on the bars can go a long way.

my 8 step is 112, mid 53, take-off 13' 5"
that was on an 18' jump.
