Walker cleared 5.75 on his first.

Toby went out at 5.75.

Bob wasn't positive if Hysong cleared 5.75 or just passed to 5.80. It looks like Hysong is ahead of Toby on misses either way.

Walker and Hysong are jumping at 5.80 now.

OK Nick took one attempt at 5.75 then passed to 5.85. His two attempts were not particularly close.

Walker passed to 5.95 (I think) and missed.

Seems to be some confusion in the stands as to what the heights are as they have no height indicator so they have to rely on the announcer

Men's USATF Final

Unread postby roger/over » Fri Jun 24, 2005 12:29 am

The USATF website lists Adam Keul as tied for fifth with Tye Harvey at 5.40m. Since the results shown on PVP skip from fifth to seventh, I'd suspect that the USATF results are the correct ones.

They must have corrected them. I copied those off the USATF website shortly after the competition.

Here are the corrected results:

Way to go nick!!! good to see the local Arizona boy putting up the bars when it counts. He's been ready to put some decent bars up for awhile, glad to see he's jumpingn well again at the right time.

Man, what is up with the heights? Nobody over 19 at USATF Championships? There were three guys there who have cleared 5.85+ this year!!!

The wind has been pretty bad at the Home Depot Center at just about every meet....

Whether the construction of the track wasn't thought out enough, or the wind is just that inconsistent, this place sucks. Does anyone know any other factors that may hinder any big marks...ie- box malfunction, runway 'slopage' poles hitting the pit just behind the box....?

Correct me if i'm wrong but has there been any real 'great' marks acheived there?

A couple of thoughts...

Way to go Brad! He was my pick for top spot, and like I said before, Brad is great in big meets. Good luck at world champs.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has trouble when the wind is inconsistent.

Too bad for those that didn't catch a good wind, but I think those that qualified for world champs are going to represent the US well.

of course there has been good marks there. My wife (Daana)broke her canadian record there twice in two years there at the home depot meet.
she jumped 4.45 last year to win it and then she jumped 4.50 this year to win it. Other than her though, nobody has jumped well there, including me.
