Joe Dial is taller than me and I'm a shade under 5'8". I think the 5'9" mentioned above is probably right.

Kjell was 5'10", at least that is what the newspapers reported. He definitely was taller than me and was probably between 5'9" and 5'10".

Don Baird, on the other hand, was 5'7", and I'm very sure of that because I trained with him for a long time and still see him on a regular basis. He jumped 18'2" back in the 70's, when it was still really high.
