Very impressive performance by Paul Litchfield. He broke a pole on his first jump and it hit him HARD on the knee. He could barely walk and it turned pretty colors. He also lots most of the feeling in his left hand.

He passed to the next height, and amazingly made 5.08 and 5.23 on first attempts for the win. The wind picked up a bit near the end and hindered attempts at higher heights a bit, but it was still a great competition.

Prize money ended up being:

2nd $225
3rd $170
4th $100 (split between the two 5th place girls)

That was amazing watching Paul vault after looking at what his knee looked like after 5 min.
