they may not show any of the qualifying but they will probably show some of the americans qualifying jumps. they will at least show the winning jump and top american from the finals(hopefully the same person) and then probalby the final miss of the competition.

in 2000 they had several jumps of the top 5 or 6 vaulters. it was only the finals, im willing to bet that there will e better coverage. they showed aboutthe same for mens and womens
i think before my days are done.

yup, best bet is coverage on the pv finals cause on the days of the pv trials, theres other finals for other events, which a tv station might want to cover.

Trials and Olympics

Unread postby jmayesvaultmom » Wed Jun 23, 2004 8:04 pm

Are the qualifying and finals for men and women going to be available pay-for-view for the trials? Are they going to be available for the olympics themselves pay-for-view? If they aren't, they are missing a huge market and tons of money by not offering people a chance to watch ALL of what they want for a price. Maybe USATF might consider making the money themselves and offering it??? :dazed:
That's Jodie!!

A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

They can't because the TV rights for the trials were sold to the highest bidder. And USATF doesn't have any control at all over the Olympics.
