I guess Lawrence Johnson decided to make an appearance at this year's trials.

He's updated his mark to 5.65. Now Matt Phillips has to wait and see if anyone scratches (I know Jill said Dean was...).

I don't see the point in waiting until the last possible minute to update your mark

It costs 250 dollars! Not only that. . . but it might be a strategy to scare the rest of the field with a 5.65 mark. Watch out. lol

Does anyone think he's healthy?

Look out for him even if he isn't healthy. I saw him jump 19' on his first attempt of the meet a few years back at Princeton after missing the pads in warm up. So, even if this guy has a broken leg, I'd say the guys had better keep him in their rearview mirrors.

Correct me if this is wrong, but are they only accepting 24 jumpers to compete in the qualifier round?

From what it looks at this moment in time, 15 are qualified in the mens vault which leaves 20 provisonals for the remaining 9 spots.
Only 8 are qualified in the womens vault leaving 14 provisonals for the remaining 12 spots.

As far as I know that is right... and the provisionals don't know for sure whether or not they will be competing until 2 days before the qualifying round
