What is the coolest trick that you have done or seen during a competition?

this high school kid that my brother and i coach did a backflip off a full vault on his first try. it was pretty cool seeing how the kid had never taken a real jump until this spring.

Mckane Lee's near disaster crash at the state meet his freshman year still amazes me. He was jumping at 14' and stalled out while his ankles got over the bar. The bar dosn't come off the pegs and he begins to fall head first towards the front bun of the mat. The is a collective gasp from the crowd as it looks like he is about to break his neck  from landing head first into the pit like a lawn dart. Half way trough his head first free fall he does a front flip lands on his feet, sticks the landing like a true gymnast, and waves to the crowd. ;)
An optimist is one who sees a light in darkness....a pessimist blows it out.
