Sky System II Question

In JJ's Sky System II there is a segment that is called Hot Vaults and features great vaulters from the 80's such as Duplantis, "Bagman", Starkey, the Soviet Union guys from the 84 Olympics, and Bubka-clearing 20' for the first time. There is one song that is between "Break On Through" by the Doors, and "Nervous Tension".

My question what is the title of that song and who sings it? The song is not in the credits for the songs used. For those who don't know what song I'm talking about, here is some of the lyrics:

The title of the song is "Superman" by the Kinks. We used to have a tape of vault music we would play during practice in our indoor facility. When that song would come one there would be fights to get on the runway to vault during it!!! :yes:

My all-time favorite "vault" songs.

When did that song come out? I could not find it on kazaa or morpheus!

Not much help I know, It came out in the 70's. It's on there greatest hits album also. (which I've bought and had stolen twice). I've also found it on Kazza about two years ago.

PVJunkie, thanks for the file. This is one of the best songs to listen to before pole vaulting!

Thanks JJ for putting this together with the vault videos. Without that video, I don't think that NeoVault would exist-- I might have, but who knows. Yuo are truly the GODFATHER of the vault. :D

Kazza is old news...best downloading site on the net has to be Ares. It never fails, no viruses, and they only have complete songs with no scratches or inturruptions. Believe me, it's amazing!
