Father- daughter duo cements bond while vaulter improves on the track
Less than two years after picking up a pole, Carroll’s Abby Kimball has become one of the top girls high school pole vaulters in the state. Kimball has a
personal best of 12 feet, but the junior has had to get over more than just a pole vault bar during her career. A broken collarbone last year sidelined her for the
entire outdoor season. However, driven by her
dedication and assisted by her father, who is also
her coach, Kimball has improved her personal best
by almost three feet this season. Here is her story:
