I found this on the OHSAA website. I was wondering what people from Ohio thought about it? Is it helping?

Mandatory Pole Vault Clinics
Pole Vault Certification - www.pvscb.com
Web based education and testing for the certification of vaulters and coaches.
The Board of Control has adopted mandatory training for coaches in schools that sponsor the Pole Vault event. Compliance with this requirement is the responsibility of the member school.

Schools sponsoring PV must have at least one coach who has received the training. If a school uses one coach for all athletes at the school (boys and girls) and both levels – HS and 7-8, then only that coach must receive the training; however, that coach must be present during all training and competition.

TRAINING OPTIONS
1. Attend one of the clinics sponsored by the OATCCC – listed on the OHSAA web site below

2. Take an on-line training course

Not when the coaches blow it off :( . Too many coaches believe that they are experts at the sport as I am sure it is in other areas. The common sense information that would create safer vaulting is being ignored. That is why i'm helping my lil sibs out before i leave for college. Get them on the right track, hopefully.
