BLOOMINGTON – Brianna Neumann became both the first official state pole vault champion and record-holder Saturday at the IHSAA Girls Track and Field state finals.

Neumann won the event officially at 12 feet, 9 inches, and since this is the first year the IHSAA is sanctioning the girls pole vault, she is the champ and record-holder.
