Standards Question?
I am 5'2'' and am using a 12'6''120 pole and my standards are all the way back at 28. And it's not like I am jumping amazing heights, it is my first year and so far my PR is only 6'6''. Is there anything I can do to move my standards in that would make my vaulting better too?! Thanks.

Re: Standards Question?
Most good vaulters need their standards back to 80 cm past zero. The closest setting I see now days is 55 cm., and I see about 500 vaulters per season as an official.
Keep them deeper and focus on your speed and technique.
From a safety perspective, you will also help maximize your safely landing deep in the pit's landing zone.

Re: Standards Question?
31.5" is the deepest they go. It is not particularly desirable to have them closer. Right now you are landing in the safest part of the pit! ![Yes ](./images/smilies/yes.gif)
