Effective Clearance?

Unread postby baggettpv » Sun Jul 02, 2006 4:21 am

Ok everyone....How high over your grip do you jump?
Measure the grip on the pole, subtract 8" for the box then subtract that from your PR.
Hopefully it's not a negative number.

Stiff pole drills will help you learn to keep your hips moving throughout the entire jump. Yes, they're boring, but if you get a little competition going with your teammates it makes for some successful sessions.

OK, I'll play......(it'll make everybody feel better about where they are). Unfortunately I am at a negative. On the brite side, I'm at where I should be according to DJ's chart. My come back PR is 9' 6". I can do that with a grip of 10' 10" and a mid at 36' and a take off mark of about 8' 4". My grip efficiency is a negative 8. Later........... Mike

I think my best is 14' holding 13' 9" so that's 11".

This year:
16'8''
Gripping 15'7''

14'11'' with box
so, about 1 foot and 9 inches...
21 inches...

Last year I jumped 16'6'' gripping 15'0', so thats about 26 inches...a little better

16' Holding 14'6" = 26" push last year
15'8" holding 13'8" = 32" push this year
Working on getting that 32" push holding 14'8" on a 4.65m Essx carbon, its gonna be sweet.
