- You get invited to your athletes' weddings
- Your athletes become coaches
- You get Christmas cards from former athletes

What would you add to the list?

Your athletes ask you for advice.
Your athletes improve their PRs every year you coach them (barring injury).

I guess this is as good a thread as any to say that I missed the forum a lot. I used to be on here quite a bit while I was actively coaching but after leaving for military service I've had to take a hiatus from the vault and from coaching. Signs you are (in my case was) doing a good job as a coach: when your old athletes and parents call you to try and see you when you are home from deployment.
What is nice about this sport is that I am responsible for most everything.
