Balance thrown off... what should I do

Unread postby pvtaz » Sat Oct 11, 2008 11:27 pm

I always seem to get sick around this time of year with either the cold or flu.
this time, it was a runny nose that turned into a chest cold with an ear infection.
What can I do to prevent this from happening?
Because of the ear infection, my coordination and sense of balance are totally screwed up and over :crying:
I'm lifting weights running and playing roller hockey right now...so what should I do until I get my sense of balance back?
I need to be able to stay standing on my skates and put weight on my shoulders to parallel and front squat without falling on my sorry behind.
Help me

I did. She put me on antibiotcs for 10 days and tried to get some of the impacted earwax out. She didn't tell me to stop playing sports, only told me to be careful while participating.

In the meantime, what leg exercises can I do to improve my leg strength without compromising whats left of my sense of balance?

Well don't do things you could potentially injure yourself with. Just stick with bodyweight stuff.

You should try a Neti-pot. It helps a ton with nasal stuff and might even help with your ears. My doctor made me use one after I had nasal surgery, and I have found it is way better for treating cold symptoms than drugs.
