OK first of all don't worry about how much you weigh. Body fat % is more important. If you have a little extra pudge around your stomach to get rid of, that's fine.

Eat more protein, less carbs from starchy, processed foods (like breads, pasta), less processed sugars, and less saturated fat. So more fruits and veggies and fresh foods. Stay outta the fast food places. If you just switch to healthier foods, you probably won't need to be counting calories obsessively or anything.

no one! i know what ya mean people at our school keep on slashing the tires on our pv cage, and it's like who does that? honestly? we have to get ALL the vaulters there to be able to move it.

sorry, nothing to do with dieting, but hey, we're all allowed to be a little random at times...

I agree with becca on this one....beginning of the season i wanted to lower my body fat, not weight....the only thing i really worried about was cutting saturated fat and i stopped drinking soda.....i basically tried to replace, when possible, chicken (not fried) for like burgers, and stuff like that....i didnt worry about being a health freak, just tried to eat healthier and i lost the fat.....i dropped 10 lbs at the beginning of the season, eating as much as i ever did, just eating less.....you figure, anything better then what you're eating now will help....you dont need to go become a vegetarian or anything, just do like becca said, try to avoid fast food so much and soda...those are killers....

Yeah pop is soo bad for you. Even diet! Diet pop has all these nasty chemicals. I mean one every now and then will not kill you... but plenty of people put there will not drink water or milk... only pop with every meal. :dazed:

i'm 5'4 and weigh about 125...at the beginning of track season i was about 130 and decided i could do to eat a little healthier...dropped down to about 126...after the season i went back to my old eating habits and gained a few more pounds...but now for some reason i've just randomly dropped down to 125...go figure

so i'm with becca on this one...just eat healthier, and avoid the fastfood and soda...i didn't cut down on the carbs, just made sure i didn't eat more the recommended # of servings...

Instead of pulling a little cover over the pit, it is like a whole little house for the pit!

Keeps kids off the pit when it is not track practice. I've seen them at a lot of the high schools out here.

yeah, we have one at hale it's like chain link fence made into a block that fits over the pits. one side opens and it has wheels so you just scoot it on and off the pits. i think ballard should invest in one. but they're a pain in the butt because we always get flat tires or people slash them, so we cant practice. It's like who does that? HONESTLY???
