i no this might sound like a dumb question from someone whos been in track for 5 years, but.. what kinds of food is good to eat on the day of a meet, before you run? like what kind of stuff gives u lots of energy but isnt gonna hurt you?

beef jerkey and gatoraid. used to eat a baked potatoe at wrestling tournoments. Uhhhh.... heard beer or liquor is good if you can sneak it in. Someone told me a funny story about Gat and a water bottle of straight vodka. Steak and eggs with toast coffee and coke at about 5:30 - 6:30 AM before the meet. Peanut butter and jelly, acouple of pizzas... and funions yeah funions.....
