All Quebecois are bilingual.

Some speak English a lot better than others. Gabriella Duclos said she had a hard time with it when she first started at Arizona.

Hi, I am the father and coach,
First, Her name is spelled Ariane Beaumont-Courteau.
Ariane will probably have a "floating" year. She will compete for her club, and on provincial and national teams (like at the Panam junior this summer). Long term development is our goal. As for her university future, it is still open... She will probably enter in September 2010. And yes she is fluent in English and an A+ student.
Kirk is right, most people from the province of Quebec speak decent English.

It's actually really impressive... And it makes me feel like my French is so bad!

Thank you for the informative reply! I look forward to seeing how she progresses, and that would be fun if she came to the US for college.

Hi Wilson.
Yes my health is generaly good but my Achilles are slowing me down.
I am still vaulting but I can't do a lot of jumps or sprint work because of it . Nevertheless I'm Still crazy about the vault. Are you still jumping?
And Kirk, thanks for the encouragement about Ariane. Sure we want her to be the next Canadian pole vault star!
