Copenhagen Athletics Games

Unread postby golfdane » Fri Aug 12, 2011 3:42 am

Sparta in Copenhagen hosted Copenhagen Athletics Games. With all day rain, and temperatures around 12-13 deg. celsius, were the results not that great.

Dustin Deleo, USA managed to jump his starting height of 5,25m in his third attempt, which was enough to win. Given the conditions, did he not jump anymore.
Rasmus Wejnold Jørgensen, Denmark, jumped 5,00m, and ended up 2nd. Mikkel Marek Nielsen, Denmark, also 5,00m, but had one failure at 4,80m.
Jax Thoirs, GBR, jumped 5,00m in his 2nd attempt.

Following did not get a mark:
Jeff Coover, USA
Greg Woepse, USA
Gregor McClean, GBR

In the womens competition:
Caroline Bonde Holm, Denmark jumped 4,15m and had 3 reasonable attempts at a national record of 4,36m. Cathrine Larsåsen, Norway jumped 4,00m first attempt to take 2nd.
Line Renée Jensen, Denmark, jumped 4,00m on her third attempt, which was a PB for her. Amazing, given the conditions.

Following did not get a mark:
Allison Stokke, USA
Julia Hütter, GER
Theresa Raub, USA
Iben Høgh Pedersen, DEN
Tori Peña, IRL
