did she actually break the cross bar while it was still on the pegs? I don't think i've ever seen that. usually it break when landing on it in the pit.

Looks like she is working towards a good peak for trials - Still looks like she will need a PR or two to make team - but she looks capable

Dude, I've seen it happen! Only with those green Pacer crossbars though. You want a great crossbar, get a Springco - not only are they durable as hell, they are extremely forgiving! Ask anyone who has jumped at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio the last 5 years.

Yes the there are some real forgiving croosbars around - but that little Rule book also says some are not legal - and IAAF Rules are even more stringent - so for record purposes better stick to something that is on an approved list -
