6.02 out for Barber.
Seemes to be tired. But will be a serious challenger for the next indoor WC.

Re: All Star Perche 2016 - Clermont-Ferrand
RL missed 6.17 but had not enough stiif pole (14.3... should have take his 13.8).
6.02, takes the WL.
"Rendez-vous" at Portland !

This was the 100th competition at 5.80 or more for Renaud.

Following your post, I guess Jérôme Clavier will be nicknamed Jérôme Keyboard in Portland, as he has the qualification height.

Re: All Star Perche 2016 - Clermont-Ferrand
Great competition, with a lot of great depth of performances in addition to the 6.02 WL!
Here is a video of all jumps from Renaud Lavillenie in the competition:
https://youtu.be/FAgrz_9Yd-c
HD-HFR video of the 6.02 jump, perfect for slow-motion and technique analysis:
https://youtu.be/L0AF5JnUynw
I really liked the "insider" part of the coverage: they had a "replay box" after each vault where the vaulter and his coach discuss the jump and the instructions for the next jump. For non-French speakers, after his first 5.70 jump Renaud's coach told him to change pole and to move back his marks, after his 5.84 he told him to stay on the same pole and move back again. After the 5.91 he told him to do the same with a stiffer pole (13.8 I think), slightly higher grip and bring the standards closer (80 to 70). Renaud commented after his 6.02 clearance that his form was "close to perfection" and exclaimed "what a gap!" ("Oh le sac !") watching the slow-mo. After first attempt at 6.17 he told him that his mid was at 17.60-17.80 and to take a stiffer pole (13.6), which I'm not sure he did afterwards.
Thanks to the company Matsport, the competition was also a data-nerd feast, with real-time produced speed and take off distance. See for instance this summary for the 6.02 jump:

Next week he'll jump at national championships, which are held where he trains, like last year!
