Feofanova finally clears 4.40 (her opener) on her 3rd attempt.

Gao has 1st attempt clearences at 4.25, 4.40 and 4.50 now.

They're listing Feo in 2nd at 4.76 and Jennski 3rd at 4.70, so I don't know if Jenn is out, or just passed at 4.76.

Third attempt bailout at 4.87 for Feofanova. Oh well, she did awfully well today, and didn't seem too upset about it.

I can just hear the Brit press talking about how Lena pointedly ignored Sveta while walking to the judges table to ask for her next height.

I'm guessing that Gao & Badurova both took three shots at 4.70, but it seems fairly safe. Clearly they both ought to be able to open a little higher next time if they want to.

I'm also releaved that Jenn seems to be mostly over her injury. Osaka ought to be pretty good.

It doesn't shed a whole lot of light, but an AFP story about the meet says:

Yelena Isinbaeva won the women's polevault with a height of 4.82m despite suffering from a stomach injury with compatriot Svetlana Feofanova in second place with 4.76m.

If she really wasn't feeling well, I hope it's just a 24-hour bug and not an actual "injury".
