WC MPV Q - Walker DNS, Hooker in, Miles only American
Men's pole vault qualifying round starts at 10:10am Berlin time. I think that works out to 1:10am Pacific/4:10am Eastern.
Should I go to bed early and get back up, or just stay up really late?
Updates will be in this thread...

IAAF:
08:56 Moderator - Guten Morgen all from Olympiastadion. We're not really "here" yet, but the pole vaulters are - they start qualifying at 10:10.
08:56 Moderator - They're being warmly applauded by the die-hard fans in the stadium - the gates have only just opened so only a few dozen spectators are here yet. I only see two other journalists in the press tribune.
09:02 Burtos
Burtos - Is Steve Hooker there?
09:02 Moderator - Steve Hooker is on the track, looking as relaxed as he ever does.

But this is not the time and place to put a shrimp on the barbie and drink Foster's......
I truely hopes he's READY!!!! Just to give Lavillenie a run for his money.
Personally, I'm rooting for Lewis and Jeng.

Re: World Champs MPV Qualifying - Updates here!
I may have some updates from the field as Paul Merca is in Berlin and just sent me a text. I will post what I hear!
IAAF:
09:37 jan - do you have any information about the health of pole vault hooker??
09:37 Moderator - The only thing we know about Hooker beyond what's already been said is that he's here and dressed to vault.

Re: World Champs MPV Qualifying - Updates here! Walker DNS :(
09:47 Moderator - (The USATF media team is seated in front of us in the tribune, and they're doing a pretty good job keeping usatf.org up to date about USA athletes. Thanks, Vicki!)
