I find it surprising that the Russian Federation would permit their top three women's vaulters to skip the Euro Cup competition. Their best result in the Firenze, Italy, cup competition was Belinskaya's fifth place at 4.20m. Rogowska won at 4.60m. Last year's seasonal bests for the Russians were Isinbayeva 4.91, Feofanova 4.85 and Polnova 4.78.
