Would that be her first meet in nearly a year where she didn't set a world record?

I'm still wondering about that myself as well as if those are the 2005 results. I can't seem to find the 2004/2003 results.

Here are a few photos on the meet too.

Isinbayeva's 4.70

Unread postby roger/over » Sun Jul 10, 2005 4:50 pm

Becca asked, "Would that be her first meet in nearly a year where she didn't set a world record?"

Actually, she did "only" 4.83 in her final meet of the 2004 outdoor season in Monaco. Her WR of the time was 4.92, set two weeks earlier in Bruxelles. Otherwise, today's 4.70m would have been the only meet in a year when she didn't set a world record or an indoor world record.

Over 2004-2005:

4.76 Glasgow 24 January 2004
4.67 Stuttgart 31 January
4.83* Donetsk 15 February
4.50 Athens 22 February (finished second to Feofanova)
4.86* Budapest 6 March
4.87* Gateshead 27 June
4.65 Iraklio 4 July (finished second to Feofanova)
4.89* Birmingham 25 July
4.90* London 30 July
4.91* Athens 24 August
4.92* Bruxelles 3 September
4.83 Monaco 19 September (finished second to Polnova)
4.87* Donetsk 12 February 2005
4.88* Birmingham 18 February
4.89* Lievin 26 February
4.90* Madrid 6 March
4.93* Lausanne 5 July

Isinbayeva at Monaco

Wrong again. Isinbayeva didn't set a new world record, but she did win the Monaco meet. Polnova was second, at 4.78m.

I can't imagine those photos are from this year. Those Nike uniforms are several years old, and isn't that Feofanova in one of the pictures?

Yeah those must be old photos that they posted on there site or something. Because the shoes that Stacy is wearing she wouldn't be caught dead in now, because that is the design that really bothers her achilles.

I think your right on the photos. That's why I kept questioning whether the posted results were current or not. Might have to check out the URL in a few days to see if there are new photos posted.

Rethymno, Greece - Yelena Isinbayeva is used to being the central attraction in most meetings in which she participates, and the same was true last night at the EAA permit meeting “Vardinoyiannia 2005â€Â
