Isinbayeva – the World record stats
Saturday 17 December 2005
Yelena Isinbayeva, the 23-year-old Russian pole vaulting marvel who is the World Athlete of the Year, and overall IAAF World Ranked number one athlete has amassed a staggering total of 20 World records (18 senior and 2 Junior) during her career.

Isinbayeva this summer famously became the first woman in history to clear the 5m mark in the Pole Vault when scaling that height in London. She then raised that mark to 5.01m when winning the World title in Helsinki.

The World and Olympic champion holds the indoor mark at 4.90m, and with the prospect of another record breaking indoor campaign commencing in the New Year, it is perhaps now time to list her World record statistics.
