Should be a good competition. Nastia has had some big PRs and Pyrek is a very strong vaulter.

Maybe not. The guys on the T&FN board watching on TV over there say it's real windy.

edit: I'm unconvinced he's right about a Feofanova NH. She's still not being shown on the "live" scoring at all. Unless the EAA site is being inconsistent, she either scratched or hasn't made her first attempt yet.

BTW - Agirre 4.50 equals the Spanish NR

Pyrek and Boslak miss their first attempts at 4.75. Reports on the T&FN Message Board indicate Boslak cleared 4.70 clean while it bounced around and stayed up for Pyrek.

Boslak passes her third attempt. I assume the bar will be going to 4.80.

From EPelle on the T&FN site:

Delay in vault -- crew working the past five minutes on keeping the bar on the crossbar. Pyrek has been very patient on the runway.

Bar up to 4,85m -- Plants, up and kicks bar with feet. She had passed 4,80m after 4,75m was enough to officially win the competition.

Pyrek misses her next two attempts and is done.

Great competition!
