He is choosing to redshirt his junior year of football to concentrate on track and field so he can compete in the world championships and have a shot at the Olympics.
Glad to see someone going after the Olympic dream even if it means he loses some playing time. He is a great long jumper and I think he would have won NCAA's if there was no rain delay. He had a big foul out near 28 feet that he barely had his toe over the line with, then the lightning hit while he was on runway before 6th attempt and had to come back next day for one jump.
