North Central Pole Vault Camp Final Thoughts

The North Central College 6 week summer camp is now over. What a fun camp. The coaches and I had a great time. We had 80+ vaulters (a little down from last summer) this summer. I was particularly happy that some of the older campers came back this summer. Former IHSA state, qualifers, all-staters, champions , NCAA qualifers and All-Americans came back to touch base with the basic fundamentals of pole vaulting, that helped them reach their levels of success. It is good for the young, beginning vaulters to see this. The old guard vaulters made this summer for me and my assistant special, and I am encouraged by the young ladies and men who trained for 6 weeks to be the best they can be. Your hard work will pay off. I appreciate all who participated.
