I hope many of you good folks will consider attending the clinic for athletes and coaches that Paul Omi is putting on at Geneva High school nr Chicago from Friday June 2nd to Sunday June 4th. Paul has made a tremendous commitment to bring me all the way from Australia to lead this clinic, which he hopes will be the first of many for the Mid West region. The aim is to present the philosophy and methods which enable athletes to progress from beginner to Bubka.

I will assisted by Jeremy Bailey, Womens vault coach at BYU - but also coach of NCAA Champion Robbie Pratt, and by Paul himself as a specialist gymnastics coach. However we also hope that every attending coach who feels comfortable doing so will assist with the provision of feedback to facilitate the progress of the athletes who attend. There will be ample opportunities for coaches to be involved in question and answer sessions as well as a specific forum for them on Saturday evening.

The facilities, which include five vault pads, will be excellent and I have no doubt that all participants will leave with a much clearer understanding of the Petrov/Bubka model of vaulting and of how to take themselves to the next level as athletes or coaches.
