HI, I am new to this sight and I am looking for information about pole vaulting after high school if you do not plan to go to college. My son has pole vaulted for four years in high school and was peaking just in time for the sectional meet ........then the unthinkable happened. Someone stoled his pole from the school. We rushed down to Champaign to get a new pole the same length and weight but the flex was a little different than what he had been using. He gave it his best shot but with only two days to practice (and one of them being the night before the meet) it just didn't happen. Anyway it is just a sad way for things to end, especially when he had been clearing 13'9 the qualifying height so I thought I would see if anyone knows how you can get involved in vaulting clubs or open meets ect. Thanks . If you have any info you could also send it to my e-mail
Curless56@yahoo.com . Thanks again , we live in Illinois so anything in the midwest is possible.
