It took me awhile to get used to the carry and plant, but once I was reasonably used to it, I found that I had no hops in my right leg. I think I maybe got on an 11'6 110 pole, when I was using a 12'6 140 or so on my good leg. I think I cleared about 7' :P

But in terms of hand you write with, I write left handed and vault righty. So does Isinbayeva!

I got 4.82m (close to 16') in long jump from weaker leg at official meeting carryng Achiles tendonitis on strong leg.

C'mon! I am not so good as you thought. I just look better than I really am thanks to thousands (>10,000 :)) of basic running and jumping drills I did (Russian school or more universal "repetitio est mater studiorum" school). My coach will be proud, I hope he will see that movie.

Today I got first meeting after 20 years - British Columbia Masters Championship. Due to hamstring injury I did not want to compete, but Gerard Dumas inspired me to make only one jump. I vaulted over starting height of 1.30m and now after 20 years I have official vault! I meet amazing master athletes from BC and really enjoyed event. I am looking forward to meet them again at Canadian Masters Championship this July in Kamloops. I should be healthy by then and more competitive, although this is really not a main goal. When you watch 79 years old athlete vaulting, the injury cannot be an excuse to not try.
