Yeah, they were about the only ones with a quality win that day. OU got mauled, and USC won, but the score is a bit decieveing. they played sloppy, and OSU wasnt ever completely out of the game, and USC didnt really beat them as much as they beat THEMSELVES wtih turnovers and big mistakes. That agme easily could have gone the other way if OSU ahd played a good game.

I disagree. I think OSU was in "high risk/high reward" mode because they already had their bowl game lined up and didn't have anything to lose. So I think a lot of the mistakes were consistent with what appeared to be their game plan, which also got them some unexpected points. I never got the impression that the game was ever going to be in doubt, especially after the first three minutes, when USC was already up 14-7.

OSU has the #6 defensive team in the country even while playing in an offense-happy (at least this year) conference, so USC hanging 52 on them is pretty significant.

My prediction for OSU for next year, Coach Riley's second year, is that they will be in the top 15 and on their way up.

I should point out the audience that Vaultguru goes to University of Oregon, where they don't like Oregon State very much.

David, shouldn't you be studying for finals if you are up this late?

yes, USC was up 14-7 after the first few minutes, but what about OSU who scored on their 3rd PLAY OF THE GAME, against USC's highly ranked D? And i still think OSU beat themselves with mistakes, they had chances, and were very capable of standing up to USC if they played a flawless game.
