lol, I think they look gross. I'm going to take some pictures of my computer for you guys. I love my computer, it's an Alienware.

I HATE one button mouses, seriously... just look at my mouse: right button, left button, scroll (which is a button too, technically), and then I have two side buttons where my thumb goes that i use for forward and back when I'm online. lol

You can always buy a two button mouse for a Mac if it bothers you that much. They come with software that lets them work like it does on a Windows computer.

but what can a mac do that a pc can't? nothing. besides, on top of that, I play kick-a games the week they come out...I can't do that on a mac, on most games (Blizzard games are an exception since they're released on both systems at the same time).

Besides, I have tried macs before, I don't like their layout in the OS either, although I love the dock on the bottom, that's why I use a version of it for windows. it sits on top of my desktop.

Gee, uhh . . .

How about running without getting viruses, crashing, and wasting all the users' time on registries, drivers, settings and other crap?

How about working the way you do (like the work on one screen and all the formating palates on the other), instead of requiring the reverse?

How about being able to function without umpteen security updates?

How about including all the stuff you are likely to use/need, instead of making you go out and buy additional software just to get simple things done?

But here's one thing PCs are good at that Macs aren't:

Holding doors open.

As for the virus thing. All you need is to keep your computer safe the right way off the bat and you never have to worry about it. I have YET to worry about a virus or any form of spyware, etc. My computer rarely crashes, and I should just direct you to a movie I have that parodies the mac commercial that mocks macitoshes crashing. I prefer to have the control of the registeres, drivers, settings, and other crap, rather than hoping to god the computer does it right on it's own.

I have never had any trouble working with multiple windows open. ALT-TAB is a GOD. lol.

I haven't even realized half the time that I was even downloading updates, I typically allow microsoft to do it all in the background of my computer without even bothering me.

I'm not saying Microsoft is the most secure system out there, it's far from it, but I prefer it over the mac... it's just personal opinion. No matter what someone will say will make my change my decision that I prefer a PC over a MAC.

I'm defintely not saying that a PC is better than a MAC, I think they're identical and both of them have their ups and downs. it's all personal opinion. I just hate it when people try constantly to convert people to macs (I'm not saying you are, just other people I know), and saying it's the greatest thing in the world. My friend is buying a 6k computer that works on the same level as a probably COMPLETELY configured G5 (which is more expensive), and he'll be able to upgrade it with no problems, for his renderings. It's all personal opinions.

We're starting an argument here, and I hope this post stops it... because I don't want to get on anyone's bad side by this thing.

Believe me, all the PC-bashing us Mac lovers do is all in good fun (most of the time). ;)

You're probably having good luck with your computer at least in part because it's an Alienware. I neglected to mention that I am in the market for a PC (there's a couple of software products that will only run on a PC. Dartfish is one of them.) and have been looking at Alienware very favorably. I think that's one of the companies that supports an HDTV card.
